It’s your big day. Big. Huge.

Everyone is going to be looking at you. You paid more for your photographer than you thought you would because you are going to be looking at those pictures for the rest of your lives. My advice: Don’t scrimp on your bridal make up.

You’re going to be the centre of attention.

Yes your groom will get a look in, but eyes will be on you and your glorious bridal beauty. My bridal packages include travel within Wellington Central, a relaxing face mask for the bride when I arrive in the morning and stunning make up for the wedding party which will last all day. So… just how much is this going to cost you?

Nice words from past brides

I was nervous about having make up done for my wedding as I normally wear very little, but Hannah did such an amazing job, I can honestly say I’ve never looked so good!

Peta Cherry

You were just fantastic and did a beautiful on job on my mum, my bridesmaids and myself. Thank you so much for being so perfect. I honestly couldn’t have been happier with your work. Larissa Wall

Hannah turned up on time and stuck to the time frame which made the big day less stressful! I would highly recommend Hannah as she is incredibly skilled and a really nice person to deal with too. Pip Sinclair

Hannah thank you so much for doing my wedding make up - I felt like a movie star! And you were lovely to spend time with - thanks for keeping me calm on the day. I highly recommend you. Wendy Sleath

Frequently Asked Questions

How far do you travel?
I can come to you anywhere in the greater Wellington region, although a travel fee may apply if you are outside of Wellington Central. When you send in an enquiry I will reply with a quote that includes make up and travel for your wedding day so you don’t have to guess at costs.
Can I book you if it's just me wanting my make up done?
Of course you can! I charge $125 if you are a sole bride having your make up done, not including travel costs.
How long should I factor in for make up on the day?
I am fastidious about timing as there is nothing worse than a bride stressing as she’s half done in make up/ hair/ hasn’t eaten anything all day and needs to get to the chapel NOW. I’ll ask you for your timings - when you will need to leave for the ceremony or photos - and I plan to have you complete in make up an hour prior to that time to allow you to get into your dress, have a bubbly and some photos before you leave. I allow an hour for the bride’s make up and 45 minutes for all others which gives me time to clean my brushes and reset between faces. I provide a wedding day schedule template to all my brides to allow them to work out timings for hair and make up so that everything runs smoothly on the day.
How does the trial work?
Trials usually take an hour and a half and I prefer to do them from my home studio in Vogeltown so that I have all of my colours at my fingertips. I’ll ask you to bring any pictures of make up inspiration you may have collected, as well as a photo of you wearing your ‘normal’ special occasion make up and we’ll chat about these and all of your wedding details so I get an idea of your ideal look for your wedding day. Then we play! At the end of the trial I will do up a face chart with the colours I have used on you and take a reference photo. I’ll give you an idea of what touch up products you might like to have for the day and we’ll talk around timing so that everything runs smoothly and you don’t have to worry on your wedding day.
When is the best time to book a trial?
Trials are best booked in 8 - 10 weeks out from your wedding date. I understand though that you might want to try out my style before you commit to a booking (and I am going to be booked out 8 - 10 weeks from your wedding date) so it is fine for you to book in when you first find me if that works better for you. If you decide you’d like a slight tweak to the look we did for you by the time your wedding rolls around that is totally fine and doable.
Which make up brands do you use?
I use a lot of Bobbi Brown as you’d expect from someone who worked for the brand for five years. I especially love Bobbi’s foundation and concealer for creating a beautiful complexion. I adore the Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palettes for bridal eyes and have a smattering of MAC, Laura Mercier, and Makeup Forever colour.
Do you do hair?

No I don’t.  Make up is where I’m skilled and I would hate to stretch myself too thin on your wedding day. I have a number of hair dressers who I’ve worked with on occasion and can give you recommendations if you need them.
